Having started my working life at Barclays Bank, I then changed direction and joined GE Insurance Holdings before finally joining the staff of Belsize Square Synagogue, where I have worked since 2002.
As a co-opted governor I aim to use my experience of banking and the Synagogue to scrutinise the budget, to help with issues around safe guarding and to ensure that the profile of St John’s is always at the highest level in the local area and beyond.
On a personal level, I am heavily involved in Cockfosters Football Club (linked with Whetstone Wanderers FC) as the press officer. My time as a school governor, has been most rewarding. I am the treasurer of the governing body and I am keen to ensure that as many parents as possible pay the voluntary contribution. I have also taken on the role of Data Protection Officer. Being an active member of the governing body has allowed me to see how an excellent Senior Management Team work to ensure that the children of St John’s have a rich and fulfilling time at the school.
